ALBERT EINSTEIN
THE ORIGINS OF GENIUS
WELCOME TO ALBERT EINSTEIN DISCOVERY CENTER USA
Part of a world-wide effort bringing a new bi-lingual (German and English)
institution celebrating his life and legacy to the city of his birth.
WHO WE ARE &
WHAT WE ARE DOING
The German non-profit Albert Einstein Discovery Center e.V. (Association) was founded in Ulm, Germany, on September 16, 2016. Its first members came from many backgrounds and every age group. They included teachers, lawyers, politicians, engineers, physicists, students, pharmacists, marketers, filmmakers, children, tax consultants, shopkeepers, housewives, doctors and architects. At the start, they were citizens of Ulm, but the idea from the beginning was to create something for the whole world – in both German and English languages. Now we have enthusiastic members from all over Germany, Europe and around the planet. We look forward to contact from other galaxies any day.
Albert Einstein espoused pacifism and reluctantly abandoned it for a time during World War II. He believed in international cooperation and world unity. In remembrance of his values, AEDC Ulm seeks to bring together scholars and scientists from all over the world to research, discover and create together. Children, high schoolers and college students from many countries will be welcomed at the AEDC Ulm Science Center. Other programs will use the Internet to bring together young scientists for joint projects from their homes. The hope is that while they are pursuing their STEM interests, they will build countless bridges of both science and friendship.
Even before AEDC Ulm is built, we are enlisting those who want to be involved in experimental development. If you have ideas for any of the three parts of the Albert Einstein Discovery Center Ulm, send them to info@einstein-usa.center. We are especially interested in interactive exhibits about how Einstein’s ideas are being used today. Think of a science fair project combined with a Disney World ride. It will amuse, excite and educate all at once. Send your written descriptions and videos to us. Maybe your idea will become one of AEDC Ulm’s permanent exhibits, or it could be one of the rotating exhibits. In either case, the visitors who see it will also see you credited as the exhibit’s creator.
